On Friday, May 16, 2025, the Board of Brownsburg Vineyard Church formally ended the employment of Senior Pastor Denis C. Roy and removed him from all leadership roles due to inappropriate conduct with women based on information that has come to light as part of an independent investigation into allegations of clergy sexual misconduct. An ongoing investigation is underway, but the credible information that has come to light warranted decisive action from the Board of the Brownsburg Vineyard.

The investigation, which began in late February, continues under the leadership of Amy Steir, an attorney retained by Vineyard USA to ensure a thorough and impartial process. In support of this process and to maintain a safe environment for all involved, both Denis and Pastor Gwen Roy were placed on administrative leave effective February 26, 2025.

As a local church, our hearts are heavy. We are deeply grieved by the harm experienced by those impacted. We want to express our gratitude to the individuals who have come forward and shown immense courage in sharing their experiences.

Our top priority is to provide care and support to those affected. Counseling services are being offered to known victims and will remain available to anyone impacted. Brownsburg Vineyard Church is committed to being a place of safety, healing, and restoration.
